If you don’t understand the markets, you can’t find, lead and devend your key markets.

The semiconductor market is a lumpy business. Big investments, fabs, Chip teams all chasing new opportunities created by Moore’s law – 2x every other year perf or ½ power – choose wisely.

Fickle consumers buy the shiny new pet rock (Peletreon, Starliner), while leaders focus on the prize and create value – AI moving to the wedge.

Connected and Smarter devices far outnumber people.
Help us see the prize Malcolm

The Ferranti connection was new to me, but Wikipedia records the sale of Interdesign to them so confirming my thoughts.

Let’s wait until the BoD strategic mtg that is happening in mid September and the resulting plan In fact, a US Gov’t representative should be in that meeting to hear all sides and how they final recommendation was made. With US Gov’t funding so many $s for Intel’s future, the US Gov’t is similar to a VC. A VC would DEMAND to be that meeting or pull their funding.

Democrats are more worried about diversity and inclusion than having an actual functioning economy. Its no wonder the US is about to go bankrupt.

They keep outsourcing manufacturing and their own fabs that they’re beggin for cash for do not produce anything.

The stylus pressure required to prevent skipping was enormous and seemed likely to remove all high frequencies from the vinyl in a few plays.

The part that grabbed my attention, though, was the vibrating reed inverter used to generate the HT for the valves. (These were the days before EMC.)
