The vast amount of cybersecurity tools, software, and vendors available means it is increasingly difficult for IT leaders to choose a solution that is most affordable and effective to suit their business needs, argued the company, explaining: “the platform offers advisory services related to procurement and implementation of cybersecurity solutions to fit an organisation’s security and broader organisational needs.”
Called CyberCompare it has “a team of cybersecurity experts in Germany and the UK”, according to Bosch. “The platform can compare quotes from more than 7,000 providers of cybersecurity solutions and providers for enterprise IT, operational technology and IoT environments.” It “has already gained significant experience from helping over 200 external customers make decisions in cybersecurity”.
Its output is specification templates, recommendations, anonymised requests for proposals and comparisons of provider quotes, and it will run RFQs (requests for quotes).
What guarantees does CyberCompare offer to customers against security breaches?
“No product or service can guarantee against a security breach,” the company told Electronics weekly. “CyberCompare offers customers the possibility to source cybersecurity with lower internal effort. Always with the objective to get the most security for a given budget.”
Bosch CyberCompare is 100% independent and acts on the customer’s behalf, it claims. How is CyberCompare paid?
“We offer our customers various remuneration models,” responded the company. “As an independent tender platform, we are usually paid directly by the customer at fixed project rates and do not receive any brokerage fee from the requested providers. We additionally offer a subscription model, in which we provide our best practices, our tendering service and, for example, diagnostics at an annual fixed price. We do not get commissions, win fees or other RfP-related payments from the providers.”
